Twister os raspberry pi11/7/2023 In my honest opinion, twisterOS is full of stuff that one person couldn't possibly need. Have you ever considered installing Pi-apps from botspot, then simply installing the tools from there? I tried GNOME on bullseye the other day, and it worked a treat. These themes are identical to that of popular systems like Ubuntu, Mac OS, and Windows (95, XP,7,10, and even 11). The similarities end there though as Twister OS gives you access to 7 desktop themes on the first boot. However, MATE is quite a bit heavier, due to taxing the GPU more. Both these DEs run fine on the Raspberry Pi 2B, so it's nothing to the Pi4 TwisterOS (as far as I'm aware) uses LXDE/XFCE as a base. I just hate the audio in Firefox and Chromium is hard on my eyes LOL Twister OS with 64 bit kernel runs cool as can be and really seems a bit faster. I recently installed and started using the excellent Twister OS 2.1.2 on my Raspberry Pi 4b (4GB). Twister OS on a raspberry pi 3b+ So I recently got twister os on a 3b+ and it works.
